What Ownly provides

Ownly is an information and estimation service for thinking through vehicle ownership costs. It is not a dealer, lender, insurer, mechanic, financial adviser, appraisal service, or vehicle inspection. Ownly’s estimates do not replace a purchase contract, financing offer, insurance quote, mechanic inspection, service history, recall check, or professional advice.

Vehicle, market, repair, insurance, fuel, tax, and resale information can be incomplete or change. Verify material information before making a decision. Ownly marks unsupported information as not estimated or not verified rather than presenting it as certainty.

Ownly Plus and Brief credits

Ownly Plus includes a saved Results workspace, expanded ownership views, and Ownership Brief credits. Each newly completed Ownership Brief contains one saved Result and uses one credit. Historical multi-car Briefs stay available. Viewing Results, selecting a car, reopening a completed Brief, or printing it again does not use another credit. A Brief that fails before completion returns its reserved credit.

New Ownly Plus purchases are $19.99 USD as a one-time payment for five Ownership Brief reports (five credits), with no subscription or automatic renewal. Optional additional credit-pack prices are shown before payment in Stripe Checkout. Existing subscriptions retain their current billing terms; eligible subscribers can manage or cancel billing through their account, and cancellation stops the next renewal while access continues through the paid period. Refund requests are considered case by case where required by law or appropriate in the circumstances.

Accounts and acceptable use

Anonymous sessions are created automatically. Google sign-in lets you carry work across devices. Keep your account access secure and do not evade controls, overload or probe the service, attempt to access another person’s data, submit unlawful content, or use Ownly’s output as a substitute for professional review.

Research and intellectual property

OpenAI-assisted research helps summarize public evidence; Ownly’s deterministic calculation engine produces the displayed totals. Licensed vehicle-service data may supplement available evidence. Sources and AI output may be incomplete. Ownly and its content, design, and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You retain rights in inputs you provide, and grant us the limited right to process them to operate and improve the service as described in the Privacy policy.

Limits, law, and contact

To the extent permitted by law, Ownly is provided as available and we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions made using estimates. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited. These terms are governed by Indiana law, and disputes may be brought in the appropriate courts in or serving Marion County, Indiana. Before filing a claim, please contact us informally so we can try to resolve it. There is no mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver in these Terms.
